Blog #1 Klinkner

One of the biggest things I took away from the reading was the idea that new advancements were made not by new inventions, but by the minds of people trying to explore new paths and dimensions. To summarize, the plow was invented out of necessity, because farming took a long time and farmers wanted to make their work more efficient. "Computation in research is not about electricity, but about a way of thinking algorithmically about a problem and applying certain principles of problem solving to evidence, in search of a solution."  I like this idea because it shows the resilience and perseverance of humans to adapt and come up with new ideas and explore them.
